How to create a Cronos token?

Cronos (chain ID 25) is Crypto.com's EVM-compatible Layer-1, providing direct exposure to one of crypto's largest user bases - over 70 million Crypto.com app users who hold CRO and use Cronos dApps. Block times average around 6 seconds, gas fees usually stay under $0.01, and the chain is well-suited to retail-focused tokens that benefit from Crypto.com ecosystem integration.

Cronos EVM vs Cronos zkEVM

Important: Cronos is two separate chains. Cronos EVM (chain ID 25) is the main one - this is where the established DeFi ecosystem lives (VVS Finance, etc.) and what 20lab's Cronos token creator deploys to. Cronos zkEVM (chain ID 388) is a much newer ZK-rollup with smaller liquidity. Unless you specifically need ZK settlement, the main Cronos EVM is the right choice.

What deployment looks like

Connect your wallet (MetaMask, Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, Trust Wallet, or WalletConnect-compatible options), switch to chain ID 25, and configure your token's basics. Pick optional features like mintable, taxes, anti-bot protection, or blacklist. Deployment usually costs under $0.50 in CRO; Your Cronos token goes live in about 6 seconds.

Listing and reaching the Crypto.com audience

VVS Finance is Cronos's largest native DEX; Crodex and CronaSwap are smaller alternatives. Add liquidity directly, distribute via the multisender airdrop tool, then submit to Cronoscan, CoinGecko, and CoinMarketCap. Note that deploying on Cronos doesn't grant Crypto.com app listing automatically - that's a separate process with significant due diligence - but it puts you in a stronger position than launching on a less-connected chain.

Choose the type of token from table below:

Cronos has very low gas costs - deployment usually runs under $0.50 in CRO plus a 20lab service fee shown on the summary before you confirm.

Cronos EVM (chain ID 25) is the main Cronos chain - this is where the established DeFi ecosystem lives (VVS Finance, Crodex), and 20lab's Cronos token creator deploys here. Cronos zkEVM (chain ID 388) is a separate zero-knowledge rollup launched more recently, with much smaller liquidity. Unless you specifically need ZK-rollup settlement, the main Cronos EVM is the right choice.

No - deploying on Cronos doesn't grant Crypto.com app listing automatically. Crypto.com app listings follow a separate process with significant due diligence, typically reserved for established projects with traction. What Cronos does give you is exposure to Crypto.com's 70+ million users who hold CRO and use Cronos dApps, plus a more visible path to eventual listing.

CRO is the native token used as gas on Cronos and as the utility token in the Crypto.com ecosystem. Cronos is the chain itself. The relationship is similar to ETH and Ethereum, or BNB and BNB Smart Chain. Don't confuse CRO with the various wrapped versions (cCRO, WCRO) you'll encounter when adding liquidity to DEXes.

VVS Finance is Cronos's largest native DEX. Deploy your token through 20lab, then create a liquidity pair on VVS by using Cronos add liquidity tool. Once a pool exists, your token shows up in the VVS swap UI automatically. Distribute to early holders with the Cronos airdrop tool, then submit to CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap.
